About Me

👋 Hey! I’m Patrick Lutz, a data analyst working towards achieving my first data analyst job.

I have over three years of experience working with data, from my college days learning statistical programming to more recently transitioning to the business side of data analytics. For the past year, I have been learning SQL, Excel, and Tableau, and I have completed over six portfolio projects published on my blog, GitHub, and Tableau Public Profile.

What intrigues me about working in data analytics is the ability to act as a scientist or detective, finding and creating real-world data and transforming it into actionable insights that can drive strategic decision-making.

Since college, I have worked in the outdoor recreation and hospitality industries. While these industries may not seem very related to data analytics, they were foundational to learning how to work with a team, lead others, and teach. I continue to learn and apply data analytics techniques to these jobs, tracking my daily sales metrics while serving customers or helping my local rock-climbing gym streamline its tech ecosystem.

I have a strong passion for learning more in the data analytics field, building my career, and creating value for businesses through data-driven insights and decision-making
